Led Lighting

Alpha Electrical Signs supports the idea that LEDs are not ready to replace Neon or Mercury Tubes in Brightness, Longevity and Economy.

72 feet of Mercury Tube will pull 234 Watt, while 72 feet of LEDs (6 LEDs pet foot) will pull 432 Watts. You pay 198 Wats or 1.8 AMps per 72 feet. Neon or Mercury Tubes have a life expectancy of 30 to 40 years compared to LEDs 4 to 5 years. LED loses 50% of brightness within the first 2 years of its 4-5 life. Neon after 10 years needs somedusting and is bright as new. Other Sign companies try to sel you LEDs because they can't sell you quality. In the end its your choice. We offer both.
